Our doctors offer either face to face or telephone appointments appointments, mostly available on the day or where possible a pre-booked appointment one or two days in advance. If you need a long appointment these can also be booked in advance and we also have a few early appointments available for those who work.

An appointment is for 10 minutes and for one person only. If you need longer please say at the time of booking. Where another member of the family needs to be seen or discussed, an additional appointment should be made so that their records are available.  If you require a longer appointment please inform the receptionist.  Diabetic, asthma reviews, minor surgery, gynaecology procedures, post natal/child checks all require longer appointment times.

Telephone Advice

The doctors are willing to speak to you on the telephone but you may be asked to call back or book a telephone consultation. Please supply your correct telephone contact number.  Please note staff do not disturb the doctor during a consultation.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases please make an appointment with the practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly. Please see the nurse for smears, pill checks, dressings, asthma reviews, ear syringing, travel and childhood vaccinations, stop smoking advice, weight, diet, lifestyle advice .  We also have a practice phlebotomist offering a daily morning surgery for blood tests, ECG, weight monitoring. Appointments with the nurse can be made up to 6 weeks in advance.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
